Four decades of Madonna’s hits are coming your way.
The superstar singer announced Monday dates for “The Celebration Tour,” which, according to her website, “will take us on Madonna’s artistic journey through forty decades and pay respect to New York City where her music career began.”
Madonna stated in a statement that she is excited to discover as many songs and give her fans the show they’ve been waiting for.
It was expected that the tour announcement would be made as Madonna had recently deleted her verified Instagram account. This indicates big news.
She was jolly and cheeky with the announcement. She used some of her most famous friends to make a video in a nod to her 1991 documentary “Truth or Dare”.
Madonna can be seen in the Monday video playing NSFW Truth or Dare with Judd Apatow and Jack Black.
Schumer challenges Madonna to sing all her hits on tour. The pair end up singing a little of Madonna’s 1987 hit, “La Isla Bonita”.
Madonna tells us in the video, “Wait! Hold on, that’s quite a few songs.” “You think people will come to that show?”
Tickets go on sale Friday for the 35-city global tour, which will begin July 15 at Rogers Arena, Vancouver, BC. It will also include stops in Detroit and Chicago, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and New York.
Before the tour ends in Amsterdam next December, European cities will be visited London, Paris, Barcelona, Paris, and Stockholm.
